Shakespeare by the Lakes is produced by LakeSpeare & Co. which comprises Taimus Werner-Gibbings, Lexi Sekuless, Dr Duncan Driver and Paul Leverenz.

We started Shakespeare by the Lakes as a festive, outdoors, free event for anyone from everywhere and everyone from anywhere. Food trucks, pop-up wine bars, picnic rugs, live music and friends enjoying a summer evening together in front of a fun and lively theatrical performance. Mostly thanks to your help.

 

We’d welcome more of your help to go bigger and better in 2019. In fact, we’d be delighted if you wanted to get involved now, at the start, as a Mate of Shakespeare by the Lakes. We are looking for 100 Mates who can help in any way. With your support we will give Shakespeare to new audiences, creating something to be proud of, which can be enjoyed together and which will become a fixture in Canberra’s cultural life.

 

What would we need from you as a Mate of Shakespeare by the Lakes? Anything and everything you can give if you have time, money, capacity and opportunity.

We’ll need a photographer, social media manager, a merchandising manager, e-program designer, costume creatives, marketing assistants and general support. We’ll need lots of wonderful volunteers to become part of our event family.
